The company now known as E.G. Insight took root in 1990, when QI International introduced the first Customer Review process as a market research tool. The founders also published Quality on Trial, a successful business text outlining the importance of bringing customer relationships into focus.
QI International was eventually acquired by Personnel Decisions International (PDI), which continued its innovative methods of gathering key relationship insights, with an even broader global scope. Throughout the organization’s history, hundreds of thousands of people, from dozens of countries and industries, have used its services.
In 2006, Eric Engwall and Gary Gerds acquired the customer feedback organization from PDI, and named the new company E.G. Insight. Their stated goal is to improve upon the existing tools and add complementary offerings to increase the flexibility in capturing feedback regarding critical business relationships.
